The LVN shall provide nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse and/or licenses physician, and is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his or her direction. The LVN utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the paitnets seved on his or her unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data, reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age specific needs. Banner Health service standards and support of healing environment are exhibited in all aspects of the LVN's performance.
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, observes and reports the patient's physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge teaching needs. Contributes to plan of care under direction of registered nurese through collaboration with other disciplines. Implements care based on interventions identified in care plan and medical orders. Reports condition of patient, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change in the patient's condition to the RN and/or physician. Documents observations, implementation and evaluation datat in the patient record. Follows safety standards in all aspects of performance of the above essential functions. Exhibits time management and prioritization skills. Ability to demonstrate and act upon critical thinking skills.
Qualifications: Must possess a current valid California LVN license or teporary California LVN license. BCLS required. Excellent customer service required.
