Responsibilities: The RN provides patient care based on the nursing process. Patient care is impartial, regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, source of payment, sexual preference or beliefs. Patients of all ages are served including neonate and infant, pediatric and adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Independent judgment is used regarding priority of work, changes in patient condition, evaluating patient’s response to care and emergency situations. The RN strives for excellence in clinical practice, patient/family teaching and communication skills.
Qualifications: Banner Health employees are expected to adhere to Banner’s service standards and organizational values in all their interactions with Banner patients, other customers, and fellow employees. Must possess a current valid Alaska RN license with a current BLS. Must have prior ICU experience. Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the role, and demonstrates behaviors and answers to role-related experiential questions. Must meet general RN and unit specific competency requirements within established timeframes.
