Description:
Category: Nursing//RN, Facility:Fairbanks Memorial Hospital ,Location: AK-Fairbanks, Department:ICU, Full-time 7p-7a, various days. Also, per diem position available.
Responsibilities: The RN provides patient care in a 14 bed ICU/Telemetry Stepdown Unit based on the nursing process. Patient care is impartial, regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, source of payment, sexual preference or beliefs. Patients of all ages are served including pediatric and adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Independent judgment is used regarding priority of work, changes in patient condition, evaluating patient’s response to care and emergency situations. The RN strives for excellence in clinical practice, patient/family teaching and communication.
Qualifications: Current RN licensure in the State of Alaska. Within 1 year of hire: Complete ACLS / PALS, (or first available class). Maintain ACLS with bi-annual refresher. Basic Dysrhythm. Critical Care Course or equivalent experience. Recommended: CCRN Certification
