Category: Nursing//LPN, Facility:Banner Estrella Medical Center ,Location: AZ-Phoenix (Banner Estrella), Department:Med/Surg, Observes, contributes to the plan of care, implements, reports and documents patient care in accordance with Banner Health, department policies and the nurse practice act. The LPN shall provide nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse and/or licensed physician, and is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his or her direction. The LPN utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age specific needs. BH Service Standards and support of healing environment are exhibited in all aspects of the LPN’s performance.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Must possess a current valid Arizona LPN license or temporary Arizona LPN license. Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job, and demonstrates through behaviors and answers to job-related experiential questions, the ability to demonstrate Service Excellence Standards. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must have satisfactorily completed the Arizona State Board approved intravenous therapy curriculum and gastric intubation/lavage curriculum, according to department requirements.
