It was unfortunate that on a recent visit to Chandler, Az. to visit family we found ourselves in the ER at Banner Desert Medical Center and my husband was suffering from acute renal failure and in need of emergency dialysis. We were two thousand miles from home, in a stange hospital with doctors we had never met. Very frightening indeed. But we cannot praise the entire staff of the ER, A wing and B wing and all the wonderful people who attended to our care and well being. The nurses are top rated individuals who went beyond what was necessary to help us through this. The aids were top-notched and the people in the dialysis unit were absolutely wonderful and caring. They took the time to make us comfortable and to help us understand all of this. A special mention to our two wonderful nephrologists, Dr. Sahani and Dr. Oconer who were the epitomy of professionals and two of the most caring individuals we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We felt very secure in your facility surrounded by wonderful caring people who went that one step above to ensure we were okay and well taken care off. The people in the Mesa area have no idea how fortunate they are to have this hospital available to them. We always thought we had the "best" in the Buffalo area but we can assure you that our hospitals can't come close to this one.
