Since 1983 Banner Thunderbird Medical Center provides quality healthcare to one of the fastest growing areas in Arizona. Banner Thunderbird is recognized nationally for clinical excellence and is JCAHO accredited.

Also on campus is Banner Thunderbird Behavioral Health Center. Establish in 1985, the 62 bed behavioral health and rehabilitation facility offers skilled in- and outpatient psychiatric mental health and chemical dependency services to its clients.

To help patients, visitors, and members of the community better understand illnesses and their treatment so they can pro-actively participate in their health care. Patient and Family Learning Center & Library located on the first floor of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center provide resources, information on diseases, therapies, and medications. Moreover its staff will assist interested persons finding, or show them how to find reliable medical sites on the Internet. All of these services are free of charge, including research conducted by the staff.
