I believe the Abbe Center For Community Care is a woderful place to recieve treatment for Depression and Other Diagnois. I particulary like the Day Treament. The Day Treatment Staff, are very caring and helpful in recovery. I would recomend Day Treatment to anyone as an option for those needing the extra support in coping with the daily stressors, especially when things are rough and you need to someone fo help. I also want to recomend the CSP program they have to offer. A CSP, (Community Support Person) will come to your home and assist you with daily stressors, as supported living socialworker; they will act as a laison in getting you the services needed to help stay in the community. The abbe also has a 520 Club, this is a drop-in-center that consumers can utilize as a place for social activies. They encourage consumers to participate as part of a healthy recovery and for socialization. Peers can play cards, board games, craft activites such as beads to make bracelets or necklaces...etc. I enjoy the drop-in-center for the simple fact that you can meet peers and feel safe making connections with people that can relate and don't judge you for your disability. I would like to personally thank those who have tremendously helped me in my recovery.
