When it comes to a variety of lifestyle and leisure choices, you just can't beat Arizona. Not only will you find a wide choice of unique activities and attractions in the Grand Canyon State, but you will also discover a land of stunning natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and friendly people. The cost of living is reasonable and housing options range from apartments and condominiums to single-family homes of every size.
Welcome to the Valley of the Sun (Maricopa County) and Phoenix the capital of Arizona, one of the fastest growing cities in the Southwest. Here you will discover more golf courses than in any other major city of the United States. Experience world class healthcare, hotels, great cuisine, an assortment of performing arts venues, cultural events and sophisticated shopping along with an abundance of wonderful outdoor activities ranging from horseback riding, hiking, tennis, golfing, hot air ballooning, as well as boating, river rafting, sailing and fishing. Surprising as it may seem, Arizona has more boats per capita than any other state. Water sports are “cool” on the many lakes within close driving distance from the Metro Phoenix area. There is even a Yacht Club. The Arizona Yacht Club (AYC) sails in the desert and is located on Lake Pleasant approximately 30 miles north of downtown Phoenix. Sports have become an exciting part of the spectator's agenda here in the Valley of the Sun, whether you enjoy professional baseball, basketball, football, hockey, auto, horse, and dog racing. Arizona has the largest remain of Ponderosa Pine in the world and temperature ranges that in effect accommodate water skiing and snow skiing in the same day. No other state can match such diverse landscape and versatility - we have it all!
Arizona offers the best of both worlds. You can live in the warmth of Phoenix, but snow and mountains are just a few hours away. I love it." - Deborah Smith, M.Ed., RN
