EMMC ER is an "ER Setting". You would do much better to try General Hospital a "Soap Opera Setting". I am sure the staff would be more compassionate and qualified than the EMMC "ER
Setting".
If you have an acute brain trauma they are very apt to x-ray your thumb!
Staff very incompetent!!!

The nurses at the Eastern Maine Medical Center maternity ward betrayed our trust. We had to rush to the hospital early in the morning and had to leave our other sleeping child home alone for a few minutes. We mentioned to one of the nurses in passing that our other child was home alone for a few minutes until someone was able to watch her. This nurse told all the other nurses in the ward and one of them reported us to Social Services without telling us. So much for patient privacy. Now we have to deal with Social Services to prove that we have always been good parents. If you want to use this hospital I would rate the service as average to below average and the cost as about average. The fact that the snakes...I mean nurses...are not willing to approach you with an issue before reporting you, makes us never want to return to this hospital again. They would probably report you if you took another child with you to meet a new sibling / relative and they saw that your child had bruises. I did notice the Social Services people up there in the maternity ward quite frequently. The nurses must have pledged to keep them busy. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.
