As one of the country’s first physical rehabilitation facilities, Helen Hayes Hospital is widely recognized as a leader in rehabilitation medicine and research.
Helen Hayes Hospital’s 155-bed state-of-the-art facility provides comprehensive medical and therapeutic services to people of all ages who have physical disabilities and chronic disabling diseases. The hospital’s goal is to help people achieve the highest level of independence possible, by restoring mobility, functioning and confidence, so they may return to active, healthy lives. Services include both acute and subacute inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, and a Transitional Rehabilitation Programs serving those with traumatic brain injuries. Outcome statistics demonstrate that the vast majority of patients return home following discharge.
