Ashe Memorial Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the western part of North Carolina with a remarkably sophisticated level of care for a county population of 25,499. Established in 1941 and licensed for 76 acute care beds and 60 Long-Term Care Beds, Ashe Memorial became a Critical Access Hospital in 2008.
