The center's location was convenient, and the wait was short. However, the scar the doctor left behind is horrendous! I had an inch and a half cut in my calf. The doctor that was going to give me stitches actually joked if I wanted a plastic surgeon to do them. He laughed about his own comment as he began narrating his techniques to the MUSC resident shadowing him. He even mentioned that he had studied under a plastic surgeon. I never imagined I would have this huge, obviously poorly sewn scar on my calf that is noticable from the front. I am a woman and having minimally damaged appearing legs is essential. I am deeply disappointed with what I am left with and will definitely wait the 5 hours in another ER before I go back there to get stitches.
