After many awful experiences in the past with E.R.'s in other cities, I wasn't looking forward to visiting another E.R. But with a full-blown migraine that was imparing my balance and dehydrating me, my husband took me to St. David's South Austin E.R. From the time we walked in to the E.R. until hours later when we left, the care I was given was nothing short of amazing. I wish I could remember names but I was in too much pain and then too medicated to take notice. The triage nurse was so kind, even bringing me medicine in the waiting room to try to stop my throwing up. When I headed back to a room, the room wasn't quite ready and one of the nurses quickly got up and gave me their own seat! The doctor and nurse treated me like a human and CARED, not like a number. I hope I don't have another migraine like that for a loooong time, but if I do, St. David's will be my #1 choice always!
