I had the best care and treatment, I had to undergo a heart procdure, where the cardiologist performs a procedure called the heart arteriogram. First time at Tacoma General Hospital. I found all of the staff from the desk and reception area of the 7th floor helpful, treated me as though I were a family member. Nurses, Doctor's, everyone made the whole procedure go smoothly. My husband was waiting the Doctor went out and spoke to him the minute I was in the recovery room. He kept my husband updated, the nurses and workers in the waiting room took good care of my husband made it less stressful on him put him at ease, and not only treated me, but treated my husband as though we are family. Both my husband and I highly recommend our Cardiologist and on Thursday when I have a open heart surgery I have every confidence in my Specialist Surgeon that I am in the best hands and the best after care that is possible.
My Cardologist is Dr. Daniel Guerra, and my specialist is Dr. Graeve, I know I have the best care and Doctors possible.

My wife and I went to the Tacoma General Emergency Room late Friday night as my wife was suffering from abdominal pain. After four hours we were discharged with advice to see a specialist on Monday and told to come back if her condition should worsen. Early Saturday morning my wife became nauseous and could not keep anything down, so naturally we went back to the Tacoma General Emergency Room. We waited in the main waiting room for over three hours and were passed over by everyone that came in. Twice the room had filled an emptied. When I approached the woman at the front desk she rudely told me that she had not logged in yet and to have a seat. Twenty minutes passed and she was sitting at the desk, shuffling through her purse while chewing gum and had not called me back up. I know for a fact it does not take over twenty to log into EPIC! Finally we were called back and my wife was placed on a gurney in the hall.
My wife was basically abandoned in the hallway for over four hours. Our nurse, a man named Clint, had the worst bedside manner I have ever experience. He never once checked her vitals as he stated ‘her condition didn’t seem important’. He never checked on us, asked how her pain levels were.
As we were by the main hub for the entire RN staff, we heard all the nurses REPEATEDLY making fun of the patients and laughing. We sat there as they mocked people in pain, like an older gentleman who was delusional. We were sickened by this behavior. My wife was treated like a virus, a nothing.
We would rather drive fifty minutes to Swedish n complete agony then ever step foot into the Tacoma General Emergency Room.
