I recently had a baby here in January and had the worst experience ever. I had my baby via c-section at 7:30 am and begged my OB to let me leave less than 36 hours later because my experience was that bad. I had to be at the hospital at 5am to prep for the surgery. By 10:00 PM, I was ready for bed and because my husband had gone home to be with my 1st child, I was told I couldn't sleep with my baby in my room if I were alone. So I asked my CNA if she could take my baby to the nursery, but I was told that no one was in the nursery, but that they would put a schedule together for some of the CNA's to be in there to watch my son so I could go to bed. I asked several more times about the nursery with the same answer about the schedule. Finally at 12:30 my nurse came in to check on me and I asked again about the nursery. She told me nobody was in the nursery, but after her rounds, she would personally take him for me. She came back and took my son for me at 1:30AM so I could get some sleep. By this time, I had been up for 22 hours and gone through surgery. I was also charged some $700 for my son to use the nursery that I had to BEG to use and he was only in for 3 hours. How is that right?
