Don't bother going to Kaiser in Walnut Creek if you have sustained and head injury unless you arrive in an ambulance. They are in the stone ages when it comes to head injury rehabilitation. The Neuropsych and psych departments are separate. They still think TMJ is something cured by numbing it senesless with drugs. The Physical Therapy department would not know what to do with soft tissue damage if it slapped them in the face. Neurology and Psychiatry still think tinnitus is a benign condition but the government has alloted 1.5 billion in disability payments for soldiers with PTSD and tinnitus. Overall they are just not a comprehensive functional medicine hospital. Everybody does their own specialty but nobody looks at the big picture or root cause of dysfunction. Got flu? Go to Kaiser... Got head Injury? Go to NeuroSkills in Bakersfield.
