<b>Location.</b> Armand's Orchard Side Inn is located in the rural community of Lewistown, Maine, surrounded by rolling hills and a picturesque, family owned apple orchard. The inn is less than five miles from Bates College. The Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary, a 325 acre wildlife preserve that offers forested hiking trails, is less than six miles away.<br><b>Features.</b> Built in 1984, this log cabin features two decks and a porch overlooking six acres of rolling lawns. Complimentary full breakfasts, including blueberry pancakes, pastries and homemade orchard granola, are served each morning in the dining room or on the decks. Complimentary wireless and high speed wired Internet access is provided, and a printer, scanner and photocopy machine are available in the library. The inn offers a book and movie collection. The great room features 20 foot vaulted ceilings, two skylights, a wood burning brick fireplace, a big screen television and a stocked bar area. Walking paths wind around the property and apple orchard, and a pond serves as home to fish and frogs. Pets are not allowed at this property.<br><br> <b>Guestrooms.</b> Armand's Orchard Side Inn offers four guest accommodations providing cable television with over 150 channels. All units include private bathrooms, and the Orchard Suite features a jetted tub and a natural stone shower with massaging showerheads. The View Room offers a private deck, two sitting areas and views of the rolling hills, pond and apple orchard. Rooms are individually decorated. Select rooms include desks.<br><br><b>Expert Tip.</b> Every August, the Great Falls Balloon Festival takes place in Auburn, Maine, located nine miles away. The festival features 700 pound, 100 foot tall colorful hot air balloons, helicopter rides, a carnival and fireworks.
