Gulf Coast Medical Center consists of 349 beds, with all new rooms being private. The spacious 43-bed emergency department features 28 exam rooms, 10 observation units, and five trauma rooms. The new surgery department has 22 operating rooms, all of which will be larger than any of the operating rooms previously at Gulf Coast Hospital.
