Q. Can you tell us more about your organization?
Platte Valley Medical Center is a full-service community-owned hospital serving its residents since 1960. The Center has grown and expanded with the community and houses close to a 100 physicians and specialists. From trauma care to routine surgery, Platte Valley Medical Center is well equipped to handle Brighton's medical needs.
Q. What types of specialty services does your organization provide?..
24 Hour Emergency Service - Ambulance Services - Cardiology - Geriatric Services - Internal Medicine - Intensive Coronary Care - Neurology - Obstetrics/Gynecology - Oncology - Orthopedics Outpatient Services - Pediatrics - Physical Therapy - Podiatry - Pulmonary - Radiology/Nuclear Medicine - Rehabilitation Services.
Q. Describe any future expansion plans, added services or new developments for your facility?
A new hospital has been approved on a 50-acre campus. The new state of the art facility will be completed in the year 2003.
The ICU and perinatal units have been expanded and remodeled. In addition the Medical Center just received a wonderful, brand new medical/surgical unit.
Q. What makes working in your organization different from working for other employers?
Platte Valley Medical Center is a small, people oriented facility owned by a community dedicated in maintaining a high quality of life. Cultivating a close partnership to the people we serve, we emphasize teamwork, quality of services and awareness to the needs of our valued employees.
Q. What can a candidate expect during their interview process?
For out of town applicants: After the initial phone interview, an on-site visit for selected candidates is arranged.

With the City of Denver at its doorsteps, Brighton has all the conveniences of a large city, with those advantages of living in a small town.
People are friendly and helpful and the crime rate is low.
Educational, cultural, and medical facilities are easily accessible.
Throughout the year, county fairs, rodeos, drag and car racing, balloon races and a variety of festivals take place.
Brighton allows for year-round recreation. From summer softball leagues, tennis, water-skiing, cycling and golf, to skiing or ice fishing just to name a few, residents have access to a wide variety of activities.
