Christian Hospital Northeast Division is part of a 698-bed, two-division facility in north St. Louis County, Missouri. The non-profit hospital offers a full range of health care services and an array of medical and surgical specialties. Christian Hospital's medical staff comprises more than 600 area physicians. Additionally, the hospital employs a diverse workforce of more than 3,000 health care professionals -- people committed to the BJC mission of improving the health of the people and communities it serves.
Noted for its cardiology services, Christian Hospital boasts three outstanding cardiothoracic surgeons, more than 25 cardiologists and a team of specially trained health care professionals. In 1981, Christian Hospital performed the first open heart surgery in a community hospital in the St. Louis area. Christian Hospital is also known for outstanding cancer care and maternity services, as well as psychiatric and substance abuse programs through the Center for Mental Health.
