Platte County Memorial Hospital, Nursing Home & Home Care is a 43-bed acute care facility with a 43-bed nursing home. Our services are structured, so that we can offer superior healthcare in every phase of a patient’s life.Our board certified emergency medicine physicians deliver 24-hour emergency care and the hospital’s emergency room is equipped with advanced technology for superior emergency patient care. Eastern Wyoming Ambulance Service's paramedics and EMT's are trained in advance life support and work with our ER team to ensure safe, efficient pre-hospital care and transport. In addition, Urgent Care is available evenings, weekends and holidays for care normally received during hospital hours.We are members of Banner Health System, one of the largest, nonprofit health care systems in the country operating hospitals, nursing homes and skilled nursing units in 14 states, including Alaska. Banner Health System employs nearly 25,000 people, making it one of the country's largest employers.

Wheatland, located 75 miles north of Cheyenne on Hwy 25 in South Eastern Wyoming is the county seat and with a population of 3550 the largest town in Platte County WY. Wheatland escapes most of Wyoming's winter storms benefitting crop farming. Set amid farms and ranches that are irrigated by the largest privately owned irrigation system in the Country, the town has a nine-hole public golf course, city parks with a free camping area, a swimming pool and tennis courts, Laramie Peak Museum, library, bowling alley, movie theater and fairgrounds.Wheatland provides easy access to scenic and recreational areas. Fishing, water skiing, wind-surfing, sailing and swimming are available on three major reservoirs; Grayrocks, east of Wheatland; Glendo and Guernsey. Hunting, hiking, camping and four wheeling trips can be found in the Laramie Peak area on Platte County's western side.A family-centered community, Wheatland supports many church and civic activities. Primarily an agricultural community, Wheatland boasts a large, clean industrial plant and many small businesses.
