Category: Nursing//Leadership, Facility:Platte County Memorial Hospital ,Location: WY-Wheatland, Department:Nursing Service, As the Operating Room Manager, you will have the opportunity to provide leadership as we expand to meet the healthcare needs of southern Wyoming. In the Fall of 2005, Platte County Memorial Hospital (PCMH) broke ground on a $15 million facility renovation that will replace the Surgical Services area, Diagnostic Imaging and Inpatient Wing. Renovations are also being made to the Emergency Department, Laboratory and other areas. This is a full time position - 40 hours per week. Responsibilities: As a leader, the Operating Room Manager is the role model of superior care structuring, implementing and maintaining a care delivery system that promotes superior care to all surgical patients. Opportunity to lead and develop new OR processes during the new expansion of our Surgical Suite. Ensures quality staff by participating in the hiring processes, performance evaluation, and competency testing including ongoing staff education. Promotes safe practice and clinical superiority maintaining current up to date care management practices using care pathways, policy & procedures, standards of care and clinical resources specific to their department. Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the development of and adherence to a department budget.
Qualifications: Requires previous Surgical Services management experience and current RN licensure.
