Responsibilities: The Admissions/Central Scheduling Float is responsible for scheduling all necessary outpatient tests/procedures for patients as requested by the physician’s offices. This position pre-admits outpatients prior to arriving at the hospital for scheduled testing.
Qualifications: This position requires high school graduation or equivalent and two-years work experience which would provide a strong working knowledge of insurance, financial arrangements, and business office operations. Six months previous experience in a health care field is necessary. Related education at a college level can be substituted for work experience. Accurate typing at a minimum speed of 35 wpm and accurate spelling is mandatory. Must have the ability to move files weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted.
