The best people, the best hospitals - they go together.Our PlaceThe Nursing Assistant opening is in our Surgical Care Unit part of the Medical/Surgical Department at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital. This 3rd floor unit is a 39-bed unit located featuring 13- private rooms on the south side with a five-bed dialysis unit and suites on the north side. The unit provides nursing care for patients recovering from orthopedic, neurosurgery, and urology surgical intervention. The unit is capable of caring for trauma for the same patients who average 65 years of age. The patient population consists of those with total joint replacement, lumbar and cervical laminectomies and fusions, renals, craniotomies, and general medical-surgical overflows. Your PositionTo fulfill this role as a Nursing Assistant in the Surgical Care Unit, you'll assist clinical staff in a wide variety post-surgical procedures and patient care including the assessment of patient and family needs on a daily basis and discharge planning and education.Like you, we value safety and support.
