Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center, located in the Boulder County community of Lafayette, will open in the fall of 2004 with144-beds and the potential to expand as the community grows. This new facility, with spacious private rooms and state-of-the-art equipment, will reflect our focus on healing. It offers breathtaking views, walking trails and natural building materials, as well as a central garden, soothing waterways and colorful flowers. Your PositionPrepare food and drink items according to request for catered events both inside and outside Good Samaritan Medical Center. Also prepare and deliver catering carts, perform relief duties and set up dining rooms. Review present day’s order sheets to determine catering activity. Set up coffee catering carts and deliver to proper location. Prepare any scheduled catered event – to include preparation of cold food items, buffet set up, full service set up. Communicate with cook to establish hot food arrangement and timing. Display food and serving ideas using imagination and creativity. Communicate across departmental line to ensure success for catered event. Ensure customers are treated with “ friendly smile/ welcoming spirit/ politeness”. Takes initiative to resolve customer problems quickly and upfront. Ensure all set ups are done on a time – 15 minutes before event starts. Ensure food is being handled and stored to HACCP guidelines. Store requisitioned food and supplies in proper area. Report any excess hot food to cooks. Any excess cold food is stored correctly and packaged for food bank if applicable. Report any substitutions, deviations or shortages to manager or lead. Ensure timely clean up within a ½ hour of all catered events. Prepare catered carts and food for following day. Bake desserts as necessary. Clean equipment and work area. Ensure equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions by calling Engineering. Our RequirementsHigh School diploma, or GED Minimum 1 year experience in quantity food preparation,.
