The best people, the best hospitals - they go together.Our PlaceThe Cancer Registrar opening is in our Quality Decision Support department at Exempla Corporate Offices. Your PositionTo fulfill this role as a Cancer Registrar you'll identify, register, and maintain the record of every hospital cancer patient utilizing the cancer registry data system. Obtains follow up information on all cancer patients. Coordinates American College of Surgeons survey and Annual Report for hospital cancer program. Prepares tables, graphs, and reports and compares hospital statistics to national statistics. Disseminates information in accordance with professional ethics and ensures confidential information is appropriately protected. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Health Information (RHIT or RHIA) or health related field; Coursework in Anatomy and Physiology and in Medical Terminology. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a health-related field; statistical analysis; one year cancer registry experience or CTR eligible. Candidate must be willing to obtain CTR, when eligible, if not currently certified.Like you, we value safety and support.
