Description:*** Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular [ 8160 ]***Provides independent and advanced professional patient care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Functions under surgeon's direction in providing perioperative and operative care to the Cardiothoracic surgical patients to include: - Detailed history and phyiscal- Pre-operative care- Saphenous vein harvest (open and endoscopic)- Radial artery harvest (open and endoscopic- First assistant- Central Line placement (IJ&CS)- Swan placement- Arterial line placement- Chest tube placement- Removal chest tubes, pacing wires and JP drians- Post op care to include ICU management, daily rounds and discharge summary and planning.
