Description:*** Registration/Admissions representative II [ 10181 ]***Registration/Admissions Representative IIJob Summary Overview: The Registration/Admissions Representative II is responsible for: obtaining complete and accurate patient demographic, insurance, financial information and collection of copays; patient benefits/eligibility; referrals/pre-authorizations/pre-certifications approvals from insurance companies and physician offices. This position is also responsible for patient scheduling of diagnostic tests and procedures. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation/ Experience • High School diploma/GED or equivalent, basic computer knowledge, 1-2 years hospital/medical office or medical insurance experience or a working knowledge of all procedures normally scheduled in: Medical Imaging, Laboratory, G.I. Lab, EKG and EEG; 6 months performing Registration Representative I level work. Medical terminology, an understanding of managed care contracts, and previous MI scheduling experience/knowledge desirable.
