Accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Longmont United Hospital is a not-for-profit healthcare facility licensed for 143 beds. Governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors, this accredited hospital provides a multitude of inpatient and outpatient services. As a community hospital, Longmont United Hospital is committed to providing a full range of services that deal not only with illness but address issues and programs that ensure a healthy lifestyle.

At
Longmont United Hospital the best of worlds come together. The latest state-of-the-art technology assures every patient of the best medical care available. Add to that a hospital staff who understand the "art of caring" and who share a commitment to make every patient feel secure, comforted and informed. A commitment shared by each of our over 800 employees, 150 physicians and 200 volunteers.

We hire new graduates but have no formal preceptor-ship program. The Operating Room has a peri-operative training program for new graduates that are offered twice a year. Both eight and twelve hour shifts are made available for our nursing personnel. We are smaller and have a rural atmosphere. Our environment is very comfortable and not as formal as with many larger (Denver) facilities. We like to take our candidates throughout the hospital and walk through a day in the life of one of our employees.
