If you’re concerned about your weight and who isn’t these days, then having some variety in your salad dressing choices can help make an otherwise boring salad come to life and make your taste buds sing! Here are some of our favorite salad dressing recipes. You can add or adjust the spices as necessary to make these salad dressings your own, or simply experiment as you wish. Homemade Salad Dressings you Can Try at Home

Salad Dressing #1

Ingredients:

4 oz of white vinegar
4 oz of olive oil (good quality olive oil) 
3 oz of water
Juice of 1/2 large, fresh orange
1 tsp fresh oregano
1 tsp fresh garlic
1 tsp lemon zest
salt/pepper to taste

Instructions: Pour the olive oil into a bowl and slowly whisk in the white vinegar until the mixture is combined. Add the 3 oz of water and continue to whisk, followed by the juice of the orange. Add in the fresh garlic and whisk.  Combine all the dry spices together and mix and then add to  your dressing mixture. Taste and add a pinch of high quality sea salt if salt is desired and a pinch of pepper. Or adjust salt/pepper seasonings to taste

Salad Dressing #2

Ingredients:

4 oz white vinegar
4 oz olive oil (good quality olive oil)
3 oz of water
Juice of 1/2 of a large lemon (use a lemon press for ease of getting the fresh lemon juice)
Juice of 1/2 of a lime    (I use a lime press)
1 tsp fresh lemon zest
1 tsp fresh lime zest
1 tsp fresh garlic
1 Tablespoon fresh rosemary (washed, dried, then chopped)

Instructions for mixing your dressing: Pour the olive oil into a bowl and then slowly drizzle in the white vinegar. Whisk. Add the 3 oz of water and continue to whisk, add the juice of the lemon and lime and whisk, finally add the lemon and lime zest and garlic and whisk.  Then finish off with the fresh rosemary and mix until until blended.

Salad Dressing #3
1/2 cup of good quality olive oil
3 Tablespoons Cider Vinegar
4-5 packets Splenda (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 Tablespoon fresh parsley, washed, dried, and chopped

dash of pepper or pepper to taste

Instructions: Pour the olive oil into a bowl and then add the Vinegar and whisk. Mix in the splenda, sea salt and pepper if desired and whisk. Add in the parsley and mix lightly.  Mix prior to serving to incorporate the oils.
